Art Initiatives

About

Four people and a shared conviction

Art Initiatives is a collaborative platform rooted in contemporary art, cultural exchange and social impact, founded by Johanna Driest and Zuzana Kopecká, and run by a small team that believes an afternoon around art can reach much further than the room it happens in.

How it started

The project builds on years of curating, international collaboration, and above all on the development of Anno’s One Fine Day Arts Centre in Kibera, Nairobi. That work shaped a simple conviction: fine art shouldn’t stop at “art for art”. It can be a catalyst for empowerment, learning and meaningful change.

Following a successful first edition, Art Initiatives keeps evolving as a growing platform, connecting artists, audiences and cultural contexts through carefully curated exhibitions and benefit auctions, and connecting Ibiza with perspectives far beyond the island.

“To create meaningful encounters where art fosters dialogue, awareness, and connection.”
