Art Initiatives

Art with purpose. Culture with impact.

Art Initiatives is a cultural association in Ibiza, founded in 2024 by Johanna Driest. We curate contemporary exhibitions and benefit auctions where artists, collectors and friends share a table. Every edition supports Anno’s One Fine Day in Kibera, Nairobi, together with a cause here in the Balearic Islands that we choose anew for each event.

The cause

Why we do this

Before Art Initiatives had a name, Johanna Driest was involved in helping Anno’s One Fine Day, run by Krysteen Savane, and One Fine Day, founded by Marie Steinmann and Tom Tykwer, reach a milestone: the construction of their Arts Centre in Kibera, Nairobi. It finally gave a safe space to the children and young adults who dance, paint, tumble, make music and much more there every day. Watching what art does for their confidence is what convinced us it deserves a bigger stage.

Every auction we hold supports that work. Alongside it, each edition supports a different cause here in the Balearic Islands: in 2025 Asperger Ibiza y Formentera, and in 2026 Espais de Vida, which turns unused land and buildings into social housing, regenerative farming and cultural space.
